Congratulations to Mr WONG Ho Yin, a graduate of BEng in Architectural Engineering, and his teammates for being awarded the Champion and Favourite Team Award (Tertiary Category) of the “Smart@GWIN E&M IoT Application Challenge 2022". The competition aims to promote widespread application of Government Wide IoT Network (GWIN) in daily life, optimise smart city management and enhance the quality of public life, in order to maximise the value of public services for the community which was organized by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD).

The winning project is entitled "Alertech 急中新智系統" is a designed system using wireless sensors to alleviate fire safety problems in old local buildings.
