The health of senior citizens and the effective ventilation systems in elderly homes are the key issues in the local society from the outbreak of the 5th wave of COVID-19. Academics and students jointly invented the D.I.Y. Negative Pressure Air Shield for the elderly homes voluntarily after the 2022 Chinese New Year. Combining the Computational Fluid Dynamics and architectural knowledge, this device has taken the pilot test in the isolation zone of designed elderly home.
