Heritage conservation in Hong Kong is a subject which generates diverse views in the community and presents a range of challenging issues. This conference aims to review the policy, planning and operation of preserving heritage buildings with case studies, discussions of key success factors and critical issues to be resolved by various stakeholders. Expert presenters and panellists will examine how heritage conservation contributes to economic, environmental and social sustainability of urban areas, and how adaptive reuse of architectural heritage structures of the past serves to benefit present and future generations.
