Dr Edwin Kwong has been working in the semiconductor industry for more than 30 years. He has been with Fujitsu Limited for 26 years, serving different senior management positions in the Fujitsu Semiconductor Asia Pacific Group and developing hundreds of semiconductor devices and solutions. In recent years, Dr Kwong co-founded an automotive MEMS sensor start-up in Chinese Mainland. During the course, he successfully completed several provincial projects and obtained more than 30 invention patents.

Dr Kwong has held adjunct professorships at City University of Hong Kong, the State Key Laboratory of Key Materials and Processes for New Electronic Components, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also served on the advisory boards of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, and supervised theses at South China University of Technology and Dongguan University of Technology.
