My research focuses on design and operations of intelligent transport systems and smart mobility. I received my undergraduate education in Hong Kong. My doctoral research on optimal control of dynamic transport networks completed in England received a Gordon Newell Memorial Dissertation Prize in 2008. I am a Board Member of the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS), Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTHK), Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), and Transportation Research Board (TRB). Before joining CityU, I have held academic and research positions at University College London in the U.K., and University of California Berkeley under the California PATH program in the U.S.
