Welcoming Professor CHEN Timothy Bo Yuan

Prof. CHEN Timothy Bo Yuan received his PhD from the University of New South Wales in Australia in 2022. His field of research includes Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) for multiscale fire modelling, multiphase flows and fire safety science. Specifically, he focuses on developing computational modelling approaches to better understand the properties and degradation mechanisms of flame retardant materials. Prof. Chen also has extensive knowledge in a range of fire safety engineering research, including compartment fire dynamics, wildland and cladding fires, building and infrastructure fire resilience etc. Prof. Chen has authored 53 research publications with over 1211 citations.
