Prof. Gongsheng Huang secured funding from RGC's Research Impact Fund

Congratulations to Prof. Gongsheng Huang on his successful RIF application 2025/26! 

His project, titled “Development of Decoupled Radiant Cooling Technique for Advancing Building Energy Efficiency under Hot and Humid Climates” (R1011-25F), secured a funding of HKD 6.4M! The project aims to address the long-standing challenge of condensation in radiant cooling systems by developing decoupled radiant cooling (DRC) technology. The proposed technology will significantly enhance energy efficiency in buildings located in hot and humid climates, lower carbon emissions, and improve the health and well-being of building users.

The successful RIF application reflects ACE’s research excellence, and we look forward to seeing the impact of Prof. Huang’s research on our society.
