Newly revamped full-time undergraduate programme “Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Surveying (with 2 streams in Architecture / Surveying)”

Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering (ACE) of City University of Hong Kong has just launched a newly revamped full-time undergraduate programme “Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Surveying (with 2 streams in Architecture / Surveying)” to nurture future professionals in the architecture and surveying fields.
 
ACE is committed to responding to the societal needs through education, and it is also our mission to nurture the new generation of talents for architecture and surveying. In view of this, ACE is going to introduce a newly revamped undergraduate programme “Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Surveying” to cope with the demand in the 2023/2024 academic year.
 
This professional programme with two streams in Architecture and Surveying is designed to provide students with an environment that can develop their intellectual, analytical and critical abilities, and to enable the graduates to become competent, skilled and reflective new members of the architecture profession or surveying profession. This major also strives to equip students with well-developed discipline knowledge to facilitate them to communicate effectively; contribute through team and individual application of skills and knowledge to resolve problems; commit to lifelong learning; and build up leadership skill in the building and construction professions. 
 
ACE will offer the following three undergraduate programmes (with JUPAS programme code : JS1201) in the 2023/2024 academic year to equip students to become professionals in the related fields :

  1. Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Surveying (with streams in Architecture / Surveying)* (newly revamped)
  2. Bachelor of Engineering in Architectural Engineering
  3. Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (with streams in Structural Engineering / Infrastructure and Smart City)

These programmes will enable students to experience the connections across disciplines. Students enrolled in these programmes will have a unique opportunity to study a common curriculum for the first year and choose their major according to their aspirations, abilities and interests before the start of the second year of studies.
