Congratulations to Ms. Saima SALIM, who won the Third Prize in the Hang Seng Bank Final Year Project Competition-2025. 

Her project titled, “Investigate the potential of Up-cycling sludge digestate from micro-aeration anaerobic digestion into eco-concrete”, supervised by Prof. Amy TAN, explores a sustainable approach to waste management and construction. By repurposing sludge digestate- a byproduct of micro-aeration anaerobic digestion- into eco-concrete, this research aims to offer an innovative solution for reducing environmental waste and promoting sustainability into building materials. In addition, the project experimented with biofilm production on the concrete surface to exhibit potential application for ecological biodiversity restoration in damaged ecosystems.
