John Provis is Group Leader for Cement Systems at Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Switzerland. He holds bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and was previously Professor of Cement Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK. He has published over 300 journal papers on topics related to cement science, and holds senior editorial roles for several major journals in this field including Cement and Concrete Research, and Materials and Structures.
