Nine CityUHK postgraduates completed a two-week residency at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge (Sep 2025), with workshops on the UN SDGs, leadership and critical, systems and design thinking — CityUHK is the programme’s first international partner.
Through the Student Athletes Admission Scheme (established 1997) and the Student-Athletes Learning Support and Admission Scheme (SALSA, 2022), CityUHK has admitted 1,600+ student athletes — offering direct admission pathways, personal teaching assistants, recorded and remote classes, customised schedules, post-class tutoring, scholarships and training so elite athletes can balance sport and study.
Team-based learning approach was introduced in two pioneering university courses with a shift from teaching centric to learning-centric, giving students and faculty first-hand experience in an interactive classroom setting.
The Discovery-Enriched Curriculum (DEC) is CityUHK’s signature undergraduate curriculum, integrating research and teaching so that every student makes an original discovery while studying — learning to create, communicate, curate and cultivate new knowledge for the benefit of society, supported by a broad Gateway Education core.
Co-hosted with Po Leung Kuk through the Bright Future Engineering Talent Hub, “Little Forest Hero: AI Rescue Robot Challenge” had nearly 200 primary-school pupils design and operate AI robots in a forest-fire rescue simulation, using a cross-generational mentoring model in which CityUHK’s Robocon Team trained university and secondary students who in turn mentored the children.
Co-organised with See Change Education and the Hong Kong Innovative Education Association, the 2024 Global Conference Leadership Camp & SCMUN drew 200+ participants from 70+ schools across Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas, with 11 secondary students on full scholarships.
Nineteen CityUHK students undertook a seven-day Service Outreach Experience Programme in Yunnan (30 May – 5 Jun 2024), volunteering and immersing in local culture to nurture global citizenship.
