Passionate about music? Embrace the SR Music Ambassador Scheme, a gateway to honing your musical talents. Engage with renowned vocal and instrumental instructors, showcasing your skills at talent shows and community events.

Content and details:
This program, led by a professional singer-songwriter and vocal coach, provides singing lessons and voice coaching based on talent. The curriculum includes essential singing techniques such as vocal warm-up exercises, diction and pronunciation, diaphragm usage, basic breathing techniques, singing styles, and emotional expression. Participants will practice classic pop songs from both Cantonese and Western music to enhance their skills.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

  • Current CityUHK students (priority to current residents)

Obligations
  • Submit reflective journal by May, documenting your progress and reflecting on your learning journey.

Voices of Change: Singing for Service and Growth Regular lessons (Semester B)
  • plan to conduct a total of six structured lessons (1.5 hours each), focusing on vocal training, performance techniques, and basic music production.
  • lead by experienced instructors to ensure quality learning and engagement
  • A deposit of $300 will be required to secure a spot in the program. Participants must attend at least 80% of lessons to ensure continued progression.
  • The deposits are non-refundable if participants attend fewer than 80% of the lessons.

Admission Confirmation:

Newly admitted SR Music Ambassador Scheme members will receive confirmation via email on 2 Feb 2026.

  • Attendance at all required workshops is mandatory for confirmed students. Unnotified absences without valid reasons will result in withdrawal of the application.
