Professor Wang Jiangyu quoted in South China Morning Post on China’s needs for talents in international law

CCCL Director Professor Wang Jiangyu discussed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s concerns for finding lawyers to defend its interests at the global level in an extensive interview with the South China Morning Post. He observed that international scrutiny of Chinese companies in sensitive sectors could be the driving force behind Xi’s concerns. However, it may take China two to three decades to develop a sizeable pool of legal talents available to take on international cases.
