Objectives

The Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences and the Zu Chongzhi Center from Duke Kunshan University successfully co-organized the Forum on Applied and Computational Mathematics: From Problem to Insights in March 2025. The forum was a big success, gathering leading experts, fostering high-level interdisciplinary dialogue, and identifying promising new research directions. Building on this momentum, the Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences plans to organize the Workshop on Applied and Computational Mathematics with Interdisciplinary Applications at CityU in April this year.

The objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers from applied mathematics, computational mathematics, and interdisciplinary fields to exchange recent advances in mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and their applications across science and engineering. Discussions will focus on recent progress in areas including asymptotic analysis, partial differential equations, optimization, scientific computation, statistical methods, and their applications in data science and related disciplines.
