The 13th Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Certificate Awarding Ceremony

The 13th Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Certificate Awarding Ceremony took place on 13th April in the Library’s User Education Room. OAPS is a joint initiative between the Library and academic departments to collect outstanding papers by students. We are very happy to have Department of Chemistry and Department of Materials Science and Engineering newly joining OAPS.

This year we were delighted to have thirty-five best papers from fifteen academic departments. The papers will be digitised and can be accessed along with previous papers in the Digital CityU Collection as well as through a web search.

We are pleased to report that as of March 2018, one hundred papers were cited by researchers worldwide in academic publications, including scholarly journals, conference papers and dissertations.

During the ceremony, four current OAPS winners (Sandeep SHARMA of EF, Iris LIU of CS, CHAN Guo Xuan of PHY and Joyce CHAN of SEE) shared their insights about writing their papers.

Take a look at the OAPS website for more information, including guidelines on how to submit an OAPS paper.
