ABSTRACT

Given a classical particle system, we discuss how the statistical independence among particles (propagation of chaos) merges under suitable scaling limits, in spite of the fact that dynamics creates correlations. The propagation of chaos allows us to establish and derive the various effective kinetic equations, like Boltzmann, Vlasov, Landau equations.
