Discover how to use Generative AI (GenAI) smartly and responsibly with comprehensive hands-on training using cutting-edge GenAI tools. This program is thoughtfully designed and guided by highly skilled undergraduate STEM tutors from CityUHK, who bring expertise and enthusiasm to help participants master the latest AI technologies. Through interactive sessions, participants will gain practical experience, learn best practices for ethical AI application, and explore innovative ways to integrate GenAI into various STEM fields, fostering a deeper understanding and responsible usage in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Who sponsors and hosts the programme?

It is sponsored by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation and hosted by City University of Hong Kong (Department of Data Science, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Social and Behavioural Science).

Will I get an instant confirmation after applying?

After submitting the registration form, the system will immediately send a confirmation email to the email address you provided. Please check your inbox to receive the latest information in a timely manner. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please contact the project team via email at tkp.genai@cityu.edu.hk. Additionally, a formal invitation letter will be sent via email approximately one to two weeks before the course start date. If you applied early but have not received a confirmation as the course start date approaches, please contact the project team via email at tkp.genai@cityu.edu.hk.

Do students need a teacher to register on their behalf?

No. Students/parents can apply directly using the online link; schools do not need to submit on their behalf.

Will our school be informed which of our students are admitted?

Yes. Kindly send us an email, and our team will be pleased to provide your school with updates on the status of student enrolments.

Is a lottery required for admission?

Not usually. If oversubscribed, places are allocated based on cohort balance and school readiness; a draw is used only as a tie‑breaker.

How do parents/guardians enter campus on the day?

Use the provided QR code at the gate. Alternatively, register with the gate staff using the email and HKID.

What are the specific arrangements based on weather warnings?

Please follow the guidelines from the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Observatory.

Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Red/Black Rainstorm Warning	Before 7:00 AM	All classes are suspended for the day. Students should stay at home.
Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Red/Black Rainstorm Warning	7:00 AM - 9:00 AM	Classes are suspended. Students who have not left home should stay home. If a student is already on their way to school, they should assess the conditions (rain, road safety, traffic) to decide whether to proceed to school or return home. Students who have already arrived at school will be supervised and should remain there until it is safe to go home. Parents may pick up their children when it is safe to do so.
Red Rainstorm Warning	During school hours	The school will remain open until the normal end of the school day. Students may only leave for home when conditions are deemed safe.
Black Rainstorm Warning	During school hours	The school will remain open until the normal end of the school day. Students may only leave for home when conditions are deemed safe with parents’ written consent.
Typhoon Signal No. 8	During school hours	The school will remain open until the normal end of the school day. Students may leave for home as soon as possible when conditions are deemed safe.
