
Our mission is to equip secondary school students with cutting-edge GenAI courses, empowering future tech talent to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Through innovative teaching methods and hands-on projects, we are dedicated to igniting students’ passion for GenAI and cultivating their skills to tackle real-world challenges in the next era of artificial intelligence.
This programme is led by a team of professors from three departments at City University of Hong Kong, they together bring broad expertise and academic excellence to ensure high-quality education.

Department of Electrical Engineering
Prof. Ray Cheung is Associate Provost (Digital Learning) and Director of the Institute of Future Learning. His research interests include cryptographic hardware designs, System-on-Chip (SoC) design exploration, AIoT designs, and embedded system designs.

Assistant Professor
Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences
Prof. Simon Fung is affiliated with the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. His research interests include computational social science, health-related quality of life, digital health, gerontology, and sports.

Associate Professor
Department of Data Science
Prof. Clint Ho is an expert in computational optimization and decision making under uncertainty, currently focusing on algorithms for structured problems with applications in machine learning and operations research. Before joining CityU, he was a Junior Research Fellow at Imperial College Business School.

Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences
Professor Julian Lai has a psychology degree from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in psychoneuroimmunology from the University of Hong Kong. His research covers stress psychophysiology, personality, and both health and environmental psychology. He is noted for using salivary cortisol as a health biomarker in Chinese populations and for his pioneering research on pro-environmental behavior in the same demographic. A past president of the Hong Kong Psychological Society and former editor of its journal, Professor Lai also led the development of the MSocSc in Applied Psychology program at City University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Jerf Yeung is a registered social worker, currently with the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences at City University of Hong Kong. Before his university career, he worked with youth, children, families, and the elderly. His primary research interests include family and children, religion and health, and adolescent health.
We collaborate with various institutions to provide more comprehensive learning resources and opportunities.
Since its launch, the program has entered its fifth cohort,
with over 20 secondary schools and 250 students having participated to date, receiving an enthusiastic response.
