Pandemic changes the way of living, but cannot kill the creativity in your hands.
The Secondary School Distinguished Artwork Exhibition organised by the Cultural and Sports Committee of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) was suspended last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this year it returns with massive support from schools. The 6th Exhibition continues to adhere to the principles of the University to nurture and develop the talents of students. We provide a showcase platform for young artists, and bring new insights into CityU’s endeavours and achievements in the arena of arts development.
The Exhibition, to cultivate students’ caring on the surroundings and express their thoughts specially in three themes, namely ‘People and Customs’, ‘Animal World’ and ‘My Childhood’ this year. Over 560 artworks nominated from 93 secondary schools which recorded the highest number of participation from the previous years. Sixty-six distinguished artworks are selected to be exhibited. The artworks have abundantly demonstrated the thoughts, creativity, drawing skills and outstanding aesthetic talents of the students. We do believe that these student artists will be the new strength of Hong Kong cultural and creative industry in the near future.
