Chinese history exhibition

The Library is showcasing items from its special collections on travellers’ experiences of society, customs, character, social habits, costumes, and architecture of China during the Qing Dynasty. The displayed books paint a vivid portrait of the empire through the eyes of foreigners and document the early global interaction and cultural contact between China and the West.

The “Touring Late Imperial China Through the Library's Special Collection” exhibition runs through to mid-September at the Library’s Wofoo Foundation Gallery. Visit here for more details.
