Ir Professor YUEN Pak Leung, our alumnus of Engineering Doctorate (Engineering Management), has recently assumed his role as the 46th President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

Ir Professor Yuen is a professional engineer working in the public hospital engineering sector in Hong Kong with more than three decades’ experience. He is currently with the Hospital Authority Head Office and oversees all public hospital engineering facilities and related processes, from design and construction through to operation and maintenance. Ir Professor Yuen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He then obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a research based Engineering Doctorate (Engineering Management) from City University of Hong Kong. 

As an HKIE Fellow, Ir Professor Yuen was elected as Vice President of the HKIE in 2017 and was further elected as Senior Vice President of the HKIE in 2019. At the HKIE 45th Annual General Meeting on 23 June 2020, Ir Professor Yuen was inaugurated as the 46th President for Session 2020/2021.
