This course serves as the formal induction for new EMBAC students, providing a structured introduction to the programme, its academic expectations, learning resources, and key administrative arrangements. Through a series of interactive sessions and briefings, students will become familiar with the curriculum design, support services, and programme culture.

In addition, the course is designed to foster early social bonding and professional networking among incoming students and faculty members. Activities such as peer introductions, group discussions, and a cohort dinner provide opportunities to build trust, communication, and a strong sense of learning community.

The course also introduces students to foundational concepts in leadership and team dynamics through experiential workshops and diagnostic tools, including personality and behavioural assessment exercises (e.g., DISC or MBTI). These sessions offer students an initial overview of how leadership theory and team-building principles can be applied within both their studies and professional environments.

By the end of the induction, students will have established connections within the cohort, gained clarity on programme expectations, and acquired preliminary insights into effective self-management, collaboration, and leadership development that will support their success throughout the EMBAC programme.
