Course Aims

This course aims to help students familiarize themselves with laws and regulations and socio-economic theories, fully understand an effective corporate governance system, and build corporate governance strategies and operating systems.

Continuous Assessment: 40%
Examination: 60%
Examination Duration: 3 hours
 

Final Examination:

Students will be assessed on their appreciation of corporate governance concepts and practice learned through the course and their ability to apply CG knowledge.


Embeds research elements in the course design: In the group project in which students analyze the governance structures of selected listed companies, students are required to cite arguments and/or findings from prior studies to guide their analyses and support their conclusions.


Students are required to pass both coursework and examination components to guarantee to pass the course. Failing either component may lead to failure in the course.
