FB8008D - Directed Studies I for DBA Participants

Pre-requisite(s)

(1) FB8004D Residential Workshop I; and

(2) Prior to registration in the course, the student together with his/her mentor is required to prepare a “Study Plan” for the course, which should be signed by both the student and the student’s mentor, or the person designated for supervising the course. The “Study Plan” should include a description of:
(a)  Learning Activities; and
(b)  Assessment Tasks.
 
 The DBA Programme Director/Associate Director will provide approval for registration in the course based upon assessment of the “Study Plan”.

Course Aims

The course aims to guide a participant through the essential body of literature upon which his/her thesis proposal may need to draw on.   It helps the participant gain knowledge and understanding of relevant existing research under the supervision of his/her mentor(s)/supervisor(s).  Special efforts will be made to help the participant develop research interests and experience at an early stage of their studies.
