Tea Reception with President Boey in Singapore

On 9 August, 40 alumni gathered for the “Tea Reception with President Boey” in Singapore, which also featured the unveiling ceremony of the CityUHK Singapore Alumni Chapter Plaque. The event took place at the co-working space at O2Work Pte Ltd, which the Chapter will host future alumni events.

Kudos to the CityUHK Singapore Alumni Chapter Exco, led by Chairman Dr Anna Lau, who is committed to strengthening the alumni network across Singapore. She also shared exciting plans for upcoming alumni events, ranging from recreational activities like a durian trip and karaoke night to professional talks aimed at supporting alumni growth. Joining Anna at the event were Exco members Mr Matthew Kong, Mr Alfred Mo, Mr Kenneth Yung and Mr Vincent Wong, who also shared their experiences of living in Singapore - along with some local food favourites.

A Taste of Togetherness
A highlight of the event was Professor Freddy Boey’s demonstration of how to make Rojak— an iconic Singaporean dish that celebrates cultural diversity. He also shared the University’s latest achievements, including its expanding global outreach and strategic partnerships.

Held on Singapore’s National Day, the event beautifully echoed the spirit of unity and warmth—values that mirror the enduring bonds among our alumni.
