Congratulations to Prof. Jianguo DAI on his successful application for the Smart Traffic Fund! His project, ”Adoption of Fiber-reinforced Polymer Composite Material for Roadside Crash Barriers for Enhanced Transportation Safety”, has secured a total funding amount of HKD7.94m.

The Smart Traffic Fund was set up to provide funding support to local organisations or enterprises for conducting research and application of innovation and technology with the objectives of enhancing commuting convenience, enhancing efficiency of the road network or road space, and improving driving safety. Prof. Dai’s exceptional work in FRP composites has been recognised, and their application in transportation infrastructure will significantly enhance the transportation safety in Hong Kong.
