AI/Machine Learning Environment
CityU provides centralized high performance computing (HPC) facility to support computational needs arising from teaching and research initiatives. As of September 2020, the central HPC facility at CityU is most powerful in Hong Kong and Macau, with 16,000+ cores of computational resources (~600 teraflops) and 70+ GPU cards (1,100+ teraflops). These computational resources built a solid foundation for our researchers to conduct highly demanded and sophisticated research to achieve scientific breakthroughs that benefit the society and individuals.
Singularity containers are supported in the cluster and users can upload their own images, or seek assistance from the Computing Services Centre (CSC), to build the computational environment required for their areas of research such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
