Mr. Chiu Kai-keung’s extraordinary talent has earned him international praise, and his wit and ability to connect with audiences has endeared him to the people of Hong Kong. Mr. Chiu is a graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he obtained two diplomas, one in conducting and one in trumpet performance. In addition, he gained his Master Degree in the Sheffield University. Since then, he has pursued a career as a distinguished conductor as well as an accomplished musician. Mr. Chiu made his debut with the Hong Kong Mozart Orchestra in 1988. His talents were soon recognized and he was appointed as Music Director of the Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra. He has also conducted the HKSAR Orchestra and the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra. In 2000, he was invited to be the conductor of the City University Philharmonic Orchestra. During the last fourteen years, with his drive and commitment to perfection, he has led the Orchestra down the path of success. Mr. Chiu has also appeared with orchestras in Korea, England, Portugal, France, Australia and China. Apart from his busy schedule in conducting and trumpet playing, he is active in the field of music education and performing for charitable events. |

Mr. Cheung Tin-yau, Tom has got Performance Diploma of Dizi of Central Conservatory of Music and Level-10 Dizi Certificate of Arts Grade Examination of China. He is also the Music Consultant of Tseung Kwan O Culture and Arts Association and a member of Shanghai Association of Jiangnan Folk Music. Mr. Cheung graduated from City University of Hong Kong in 2004. He was one of the founders of City University Chinese Orchestra and the first Chairman. He was invited to give Dizi solo performance by Graduate House of The University of Hong Kong. In 2006, he was invited by Sha Tin Symphony Orchestra to perform a Dizi-concerto ‘Lan Hua Hua’. He was also invited by Hong Kong Tak Ming Philharmonic Winds to take part in Hong Kong first performance of ‘Romance of The Three Kingdoms’ and ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ music pieces in 2012. |

Conductor of CityUHK Choir, Chi-shan CHENG graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong with BA, PgDE and MA degrees in music. He has attended choral masterclasses and symposiums organized by Taipei Choral International Festival, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Die Konzertisten, Vancouver Chamber Choir and Hong Kong SingFest, following renowned conductors such as Gabor HOLLERUNG, Nicholas FINK, CHENYun-hung, Jon WASHBURNand Helmuth RILLING. He is currently a masters student, majoring in choral conducting at Messiah College. He has prepared choirs for John RUTTERand JimmyCHIANG, and has given the Hong Kong premieres of composition by JohnRUTTER, CHENYi and Cecilia McDowall. Recent projects of his include Bach’s complete Motets and Lutheran Masses, a concert of contemporary choral pieces with multimedia art and Look at the World with John RUTTER, an all-John RUTTERprogram. Also as the Music Director of Hong Kong Youth Choir, the choir and he has captured two SilverPrizes in Taipei International Choral Competition 2018, a category champion and a Gold Prize in Singapore International Choral Festival 2016. He is also one of the five finalists and eventually second runner-up of the 1st Hong Kong Choral Conducting Competition. |

Crystal Li is a classical pianist, specialising in chamber music, duo playing and songs accompaniment. As a duo partner she is in great demand, working with musicians from different parts of the world including European countries, North America and Asia for recordings, masterclasses, competitions and concerts. She participated in masterclasses and lessons by Helmut Deutsch, Robert Cohen, and Nancy Zhou, to name a few. Her repertoires range from Baroque to contemporary, and vocal to instrumental. She also expanded much of her brass repertoire as she was invited to play in the BBC Young Musician and International Trombone Festival Japan. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in English Studies and a Master's degree in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she further her studies and obtained a Master's degree with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music, majoring Piano Accompaniment under the tutelage of Professor lan Brown, alongside the LRAM. Her mentors also include Professor Andrew West, Mr. Chan Sze-yau, Ms. Nancy Loo, Dr. Letty Poon, Mr. Hung Lap and Ms. Vickie Chung. Since 2023, she has started collaborating in opera productions. |

Chan (Big John) graduated from the School of Drama of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, major in Acting. He was awarded Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Scholarship and Outstanding Actor Award. He won 2 Runner-up (Group Skits) of World Clown Competition 2014 (US Chicago). Big John participated in different musical theatre performances, such as The Wizard of Oz, Forsettoland, Sumo Do, Sumo Don't, My Fair Lady, 1941 girl (1st Run and Re-Run), Dark Tales, The Border Town, The Three Little Pig Pig, The Good Person of Szechwan (1st Run, Re-Run and 3rd Run), Man of la Mancha, The Little Shop of Horrors, Vagabond, and The Legend of the White Snake. He was also a playwright, director and lyricist, and his production included The Fantasticks, Invisible Symphony, Nubia, The Mystery of Chinese Name, The Writing Adventure of Bui Bui 2017, Far Far Far Away, Under the Stars, We Dream, The Footprints, Trove of Life, West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof. Big John is experienced in the educational drama and has worked with different professional theatre companies in different schools as a drama tutor. In 2004, he was invited to further his studies in Aesthetic Education at Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts in New York. Besides theatre works, Chan was also involved in film and television, movie, advertisement and dubbing. He is a free-lance actor, drama tutor and drama adjudicator. Recently, he directed different English musical theatre productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Oliver Twist, West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof. He has also been involved as an event director and part of the creative team in big projects such as Halloween at Ocean Park from 2008-2014. Chan was the drama tutor and show director of HKAPA EXCEL's one-year Musical Theatre Program from 2011-2017 and the Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Children’s Musical Theatre from 2017-2022. |

Mr. Ngan Gary Ka Chun,Visiting Artist of 2019-2020 Violinist Ngan Gary Ka Chunhas performed concerts and recitals extensively in over 70 cities across 5 continents (Asia, Africa,Europe, the North and South Americas) on violins of both modern and historical setup. A distinguished graduate of Yale University and Eastman School of Music, Ngan also studied Baroque Violin and chamber music at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. He is the First Prize winner at the Eastman Concerto Competition, Montserrat Competition, Vinaròs International Chamber Music Competition in Spain, and holds a Fellowship Diploma from Trinity College, London. Ngan has appeared with the Asian Youth Orchestra, the Conservatory Project (Kennedy Center) and the New York String Orchestra Seminar (Carnegie Hall), as well as international music festivals such as the Great Mountains (South Korea), Music Master Course (Japan), Norfolk, Northern Lights and Oregon Bach. Besides being the Concertmaster ofthe Eastman Philharmonia(2007-2009)and the National Orchestral Institute(2006), Ngan has also served as Leader of the Britten-Pears Baroque Orchestra (2018) in the UK, Assistant Concertmaster of the Berwick Academy period orchestra (2016) and Concertmaster of Junges Stuttgarter Bach Ensemble under Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart found by Helmuth Rilling, touring with them to Chile, Germany,Italyand Tunisia(2012-2014). Recently, Ngan is also involved in the unprecedented TCHIP Research at the University of Oxford alongside specialists in the field of Historical Performance around the world. Named a Britten-Pears Young Artist in 2018, Fellow at the Music Academy of the West in 2008 and a Resident Artist (in Orchestral Direction) at SingFest, Ngan was appointed as Honorary Artist-in-Residence at the Education University of Hong Kong since 2017. Having served 9 seasons as theAssociate Concertmaster of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong (2010-2019) and occasionally as their Acting Leader, director and soloist, he now leads the Hong Kong String Orchestra regularly in performances as Guest Concertmaster. Ngan has taught at the University of Hong Kong (2016-2018), and is currently on faculty at the Hong Kong Baptist University. |

Dr. Michelle Tsui Hang Yuet, Visiting Artist of 2019-2020 Dr. Michelle Tsui’s musical training started at age 5 with the piano. She commenced vocal lessons at age 17 at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music while she pursued her medical degree. From 2005, Tsui has been studying under renowned soprano Madame Lola Young, and later obtained the LTCL Vocal Recital Diploma with distinction. Tsui has been an active soprano soloist locally. Her performance repertoire in recent years have concentrated on lyrical leggero arias from the Bel Canto era. Her recent performances included playing the roles of Mimi in Act IV La Boheme, Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann excerpts, and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus excerpts. In her vocal recital at the HK City Hall in 2018, she performed pieces by Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, and Bellini as well as various art songs and lieder. Averaging more than 10 performances per year, Tsui strives to promote vocal art in Hong Kong. Dr. Tsui was an assistant professor at the medical school of the Chinese University of HK before starting her current private practice as an obstetrician and gynaecologist. |

Dr. Isaac Droscha, Visiting Artist of 2019-2020 Isaac Droscha is an operatic Baritone and actor who has performed numerous roles with various regional companies in the United States, including the Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera New Jersey, and Arbor Opera Theater, for which he is currently serving as a board member. He has also worked for Michigan Opera Theater in Detroit and The Motor City Lyric Opera on Wheels, and most recently performed as Escamillio in Musica Viva’s production ofThe Story of Carmenin Hong Kong and as Leporello in a production ofDon Giovanniat the Estates Theater in Prague, CZ. Other major roles from his repertoire include the title roles in Rossini’sIl barbiere di Sivigliaand Mozart’sLe Nozze di Figaro, the Musik Lehrer in Stauss’Ariadne auf Naxos, Nick Shadow in Stravinsky’sThe Rake’s Progress,and Dr. Falke in Strauss’Die Fledermaus.He is also a prolific concert performer of oratorio and art song and has performed roles in Handel’sMessiah, Faure’sRequiem, Mozart’sRequiem, and Hayden’sThe Creation. He has sung as a soloist with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra, the Ann Arbor Symphonette, and The Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong. He received fellowships and Scholarships from the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Michigan for study. He performs recitals regularly in the United States, Russia, and Hong Kong, and is a frequent collaborator with Hong Kong MusicaViva. Upcoming performances include the role of Dulcamara inL’elisir d’amore on September 29 and 30 and the role of Officer Lockstock inUrinetownin November, 2017. Isaac received his Doctorate in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan and is currently serving as a Professor of Humanities at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and co-presenter of shows "Morning Call” and "Artbeat” on RTHK4. |

Prof. Huang Chun-Shi, Visiting Artist of 2019-2020 黃俊錫,國立臺南藝術大學中國音樂學系副教授兼任副系主任、中國文化大學藝術研究所碩士。為箏演奏家,曾師事黃好吟、鄭德淵等教授。 創辦「谷方當代箏界」,為文化部扶植團隊。1997年起,於台北國家音樂廳及各縣市文化中心舉辦「台灣箏聲音」、「多元文化下的現代箏樂」等專題式個人古箏演奏會數十場,並受邀至歐、美、日本、星馬及中國大陸等地區演出。 近年創作及移編大量古箏作品,包括《炎》、《蒼》、《打鬼》、《讀詩的謬斯》等等。多年來亦曾擔任香港國際古箏大賽、澳門敦煌杯國際古箏大賽、台灣區音樂比賽、國家表演藝術中心兩廳院等評審委員。 |

Miss Wu Shih-San, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 吳思珊,擅長音樂劇場,1993年榮獲法國馬爾梅森音樂院第一演奏家文憑,並二次獲得「卓越評賞獎演奏文憑」以及「精湛技藝獎」;2008年獲國立臺北藝術大學音樂藝術博士學位。曾師事朱宗慶教授,並曾與佳斯棟‧席勒維斯特教授學習音樂劇場,曾於法國與臺灣兩地舉辦個人獨奏會。1989年加入朱宗慶打擊樂團,至今致力於「音樂劇場」的研究與創新發表。2009年獨奏會《新擊樂思潮》入圍第八屆台新藝術獎;2014年吳思珊與何鴻棋打擊樂音樂會《你說我聽‧你聽我說》入圍第十三屆台新藝術獎。 現任國立臺北藝術大學音樂系專任副教授、朱宗慶打擊樂團團長。 |

Mr. Leo Ho Cheuk Yin, Visiting Artist of 2017-2019 Leo is chromatic harmonica virtuosic player and singer-song writer. Influenced by his father, Leo was always destined to become a harmonica player from a tender age. He received classical harmonica training from Mr. Lee Sheung Ching and Mr. Watani Yasuo. He won his first international award as a harmonica soloist at the age of 10 at the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival. By the age of nineteen, he had accumulated 17 international titles including the title of World Champion twice as a soloist in the World Harmonica Festival 2009 & 2013. Leo began his full-time music career as a performer, recording artist and teacher in 2016. Since then he has collaborated with many A-list local artists including Sandy Lam, Lowell Lo, Hacken Lee, Leo Ku and Louis Koo. Leo has also participated in many local indie and high culture music activities. He appeared at two of the biggest music festivals in Hong Kong including the 32nd Hong Kong Arts Festival and Clockenflap 2016. Recently in 2017, Leo was invited to launch and direct the first university harmonica team in Hong Kong City University. His mission is to promote, develop and advance harmonica playing and performance in Hong Kong. |

Miss Chan Pik-sum, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 Chan Pik-sum is active in both Chinese and Western musical genres, and has played with various leading orchestras. She has also performed in crossover productions of dance, Chinese traditional theatre and multimedia. She was one of the founding members of the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble in 2003, and has been its concertmaster since 2011. Chan entered the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2004, where she was trained in Cantonese music under the gaohu virtuoso Yu Qiwei, gaining a double major in gaohu and erhu. She was also coached by Wong On-yuen of erhu fame. Upon graduating from the Academy with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree, she furthered her music studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and was awarded a Master of Arts (Music) degree. Chan has served as huqin principal not only for the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble but also for the Academy Chinese Orchestra and the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra between 2004 and 2009. In 2010, she went to Chicago and Atlanta on a musical exchange at the invitation of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, and performed solo in the related concerts. She has represented the Academy and other music organisations on tours to Belgium, Holland, Austria, Germany, France, Malaysia, the Mainland, Taiwan and Singapore as soloist and ensemble member. |

Miss Ma Yanki Sze Yan, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 Yanki Ma graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University, majoring in yangqin performance and pedagogy under Mr Li Tak-kong and Ms Yu Mei-lai. She is currently studying under Ms Pan Wei-wen in Guangdong yangqin. Yanki has performed extensively as a soloist and as a collaborative artist in Europe, U.S. and Asia. Ma formed a duo "PAAR!!!!”with Phoebe Chan to explore the innovative sounds created by yangqin and percussion. She is now a Vice President of Hong Kong yangqin Association, a member of the Cimbalom World Association as well as a part-time instructor and performer of the Music Office. |

Ms. Wang Yi Jing, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 王一婧,青年胡琴演奏家、星海音樂學院國樂系二胡副教授、拉弦教研室主任、中央音樂學院二胡碩士、後公派該院訪問學者、中國音樂家協會二胡專業委員會委員、廣東省音樂家協會理事。7歲師從著名二胡教育家劉逸安學習二胡,1999年考入中央音樂學院民樂系,師從趙寒陽教授。曾與奧地利交響樂團、荷蘭廣播愛樂室內樂團、中國愛樂樂團、廣州交響樂團、珠影交響樂團、香港中樂團、澳門中樂團、廣東民族樂團、廣東音樂曲藝團等音樂團體合作出任獨奏及領奏。2006年以來,分別在北京、南京、廣州、深圳、東莞等地舉辦十數場個人胡琴獨奏音樂會,曾為胡錦濤、江澤民、李嵐清、李長春、法國前總統希拉克等國家領導人演奏,並多次出訪美國、德國、奧地利、比利時、加拿大、日本、新加坡、臺灣、香港、澳門參加交流演出。從教以來指導的學生參加國際國內比賽獲獎數次,並在重要學術期刊發表學術論文十數篇,出版編著京胡教材。 |

Ms. Wang Ting Ting, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 王婷婷,青年揚琴演奏家,星海音樂學院青年教師,亞洲揚琴協會副秘書長。六歲習琴,啟蒙于陳鳳玲教授,宋澤榮教授門下,1992年進入中國音樂學院附屬中學學習揚琴,在校期間曾先後得到任伯傑教授、張俠教授和桂習禮教授的悉心教導。本科及研究生階段先後于星海音樂學院獲學士及碩士學位,師從王文禮教授,2013年通過嚴格的社會招聘,在校任教至今。期間教學成績斐然,多次受邀參與國內外重大演出,其精緻的音樂表現贏得了眾多表演界名家與聽眾的好評。 |

Mr. Zhang Zhen, Visiting Artist of 2018-2019 2013年9月以專業全中國第一的成績考入星海音樂學院民樂系(現國樂系),2017年7月又以專業第一的成績畢業於星海音樂學院。師從於中國著名嗩呐演奏家、薩克斯演奏家、教育家、星海音樂學院李建中教授。在校成績優異、品德兼優多次獲得 "三好學生”、優秀專業、優秀團員、優秀班幹等一系列獎項。曾擔任星海民族管弦樂團嗩呐聲部首席。 |

Miss Lee Colleen Ka Ling, Visiting Artist of 2017-2018 "….magnificent, heavenly touch……filled with poetic and profound emotion”- Il Giornale di Vicenza Since winning the 6th Prize of 15th International Frederic Chopin Piano Competition, Colleen has performed extensively throughout Asia, Europe and North America. She has also been a featured artist at several international music festivals including the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki and Gdansk in Poland; the Assisi International Piano Festival in Italy; Meissen Pianoforte Festival in Germany, International Keyboard Festival in New York, Bowdoin International Music Festival.. Her performance of the ‘Magic Piano and Chopin Shorts’ animation series at the 42nd Hong Kong Arts Festival had garnered rave review. She was invited to perform in the "Beethoven Piano Sonatas Marathon” in Vienna, August 2016. Colleen has collaborated with major international orchestras such as the Galacia Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Gui Yang Symphony Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio, and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra among others. She was the Artist Associate/Piano of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta for the 2010/2011 Season and went with the orchestra on its tour to South America, performing in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. She is an avid chamber music lover and appearing in chamber music concerts including the 2nd Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, the Musicusfest in 2013-2015, HK University Chamber Gems and concert presented by Hong Kong Chamber Society. She has also collaborated with RTHK Quartet and the Shanghai Quartet. Born in Hong Kong, Colleen started her piano lesson at the age of four. Subsequently she was trained at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the celebrated pedagogue Ms Eleanor Wong since she was seven. After completion of her Bachelor of Music Degree in 2003, she was awarded scholarship from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund and the Bernard Van Zuiden Scholarship to further her studies at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Median in Hannover with Professor Arie Vardi. Colleen was the recipient of many international awards besides her success at the Chopin Competition, including First Prize at the 3rd Seiler International Piano Competition in Kitzingen, Germany, the 2003 Dorothy Mackenzie Artist Recognition Award, Third Place and Critic and Audience Prizes at the 15th International Competition for Piano and Orchestra in Cantú, Italy, Price Winner of the 1st Hong Kong International Piano Competition, the Pro Musicis International Award, Gina Bachauer International Artist Competition Award, Sendai International Music Competition award, and was Laureate of the 16th Santander International Piano Competition in Spain. In 2006 the Fryderyk Chopin Institute released Colleen’s all Chopin album recorded with the Pleyel Piano, and an all Scarlatti Sonata CD was released by Naxos in August 2008. She was featured on the Hong Kong Sinfonietta new released album " This is Classical Music 3” in November 2014. In recognition of her outstanding achievements in music and in the promotion of arts and culture, Colleen has been awarded Certificate of Commendation by the Secretary of Home Affairs in 2004, Commendation for Community Service by the Hong Kong Government in 2006 and Young Artist Award by the Hong Kong Art Development Council in 2008. Currently Colleen is the Honorary-Artist-in-Residence of The Education University of Hong Kong and on piano faculty of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Hong Kong Baptist University. |

Prof. Chen John Kwok-ping, Visiting Artist of 2017-2018 John started piano lessons at the age of 4. He started violin at 8 and guitar at 15, and experimented with various odd instruments. After high school, he went to USA for his first degree in music composition, followed by a Master’s degree in composition and electronic music. In 1988, John received his doctoral degree in music composition, computer music and ethno-musicology from University of Illinois. John earned numerous honors and awards including Charles Ives Composition Award, RTHK Best Pop Song Award, CASH Most Performed Serious Composition Award. He is a freelance composer, guitarist, record producer and arranger, in addition to being university professor for over 20 years in USA and Hong Kong. As a composer, arranger, guitarist and producer, John had arranged, composed and recorded for artists such as Hacken Lee, Prudence Lau, Sammi Cheung, Kenny Bee, Cass and Roman etc. He also compose for famous musicians and ensembles, including Royal Danish Ballet, Basel Percussion Trio, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPO) and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO). In 2005, John formed JohnChen Ensemble (JCE) and was invited to present a multi-media production ‘Songs from Within’ as their debut in 2006. Their fully staged concerts received positive reviews over the years. Today, as a performer, he plays Spanish nylon-string guitars, Indian Tabla, Peruvian Charango, Egyptian Oud, as well as other ethnic instruments. |

Prof. Yuen Nancy Miu Fun, Visiting Artist of 2017-2018 Prof. Yuen Nancy Miu Fu made her debut upon graduation from the Royal Academy of Music, London, with the Welsh National Opera, singing the title role of Madama Butterfly to great critical acclaim. Other starring roles include Romilda (Xerxes), Violetta (La Traviata), Aida, Gilda (Rigoletto), Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Nedda (I Pagliacci), Leonora (Il Trovatore), Tosca, Mimi (La Bohème), Micaela (Carmen), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Liu (Turandot), Antonia (Les Contes D’Hoffmann), Thaiis and Countessa (Le Nozze di Figaro). A celebrated recitalist and versatile concert artist, she performs regularly with major orchestras and choral societies. She gives vocal masterclasses in Asia and sits on the panel of judges in international competitions. Nancy joins the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as Head of Vocal Studies in 2010. She has been elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2014 for her achievements and outstanding contribution to music. |

Mr. Zhang Miao Yang, Visiting Artist of 2017-2018 Mr. Zhang Miao Yang is a renowned voice--over artist, narrator and media educator. He is currently the broadcasting consultant and iconic voice--over artist of Phoenix Satellite Television Company Limited as well as the Chairman of Hong Kong language art association. Ms. Yung Lucia Tsang-shien, Visiting Artist of 2017-2018 Ms. Yung Lucia Tsang-shien studied bassoon with Maestro Hsu Chia-chu in Taiwan at the age of 11. She continued her study at the National Conservatory of Music in Rome since she was 13. She was awarded with a Diploma in Chamber Music and served as a teaching assistant for two years since graduation. In 1992, Ms. Yung won the silver award at Turneo Internazionale di Musica. In 1993, she served as Principal Bassoon at the Orchestra del Lazio who was the first and the only female Principal Bassoon in Italy. In 1999, Ms. Yung pursued further studies under Maestro Sergio Azzolini in Switzerland. She collaborated with many renowned orchestras in Europe including Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orchestre Nazionale Sinfonica della RAI, Orchestra Toscanini, Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, Genova Opera House, Swiss Radio Symphony Orchestra in Lugano and received numerous international awards before joining the Macao Orchestra as Principal Bassoon in 2010. |

Ms. Yang Chen, Visiting Artist of 2016-17 楊晨,星海音樂學院民樂系琵琶專業講師、中國音樂家協會琵琶專業委員會理事、中國民族管弦樂協會琵琶專業委員會理事、廣東省民族管弦樂協會理事會員,畢業於中央音樂學院,獲碩士學位。先後師從殷惠麟、李光華教授,曾獲第五屆"天華杯”全國青年琵琶大賽三等獎、第一屆民族器樂獨奏比賽優秀演奏獎。 先後在廣州等地舉辦多場個人音樂會:2009年6月15日 “點—楊晨琵琶獨奏音樂會”;2010年5月13日 “楊晨琵琶名曲賞析音樂會”;2012年10月18日“珠落玉盤-楊晨琵琶獨奏音樂會”;2015年10月24日“楊晨師生琵琶重奏音樂會”; 2016年5月19日 “楊晨琵琶獨奏音樂會”等,同時出訪德國、奧地利及港澳等多個國家和地區交流演出。2010 年獲中國教育改革研究會評選的全國教育改革優秀教學論文大賽一等獎、2010年度全國教育改革優秀教師稱號;2011 年擔任文化部中華社會文化發展基金會主辦的“第四屆全國青少年藝術風采展示活動”評委;2011 年擔任華南青少年藝術節評委;2011 年獲“敦煌杯”首屆全國琵琶大賽優秀指導教師獎;2012 年擔任“遼源國際琵琶藝術節暨琵琶演奏大賽”評委,同年被評為星海音樂學院優秀教師。2013年主持高等教育教學改革專案《嶺南音樂琵琶重奏課程的教學改革與實踐》,參與省級課題《嶺南精品音樂》。創辦星海音樂學院“嶺之南”彈撥樂團赴香港參加2013“華樂聯盟”國際華樂室內樂團隊比賽榮獲三等獎。2014年3月獲亞洲國際藝術交流大賽“優秀導師獎”、 5月獲廣東省首屆中國民族器樂大賽“優秀指導教師獎”、10月赴江蘇省海門市參加“中國音樂家協會琵琶專業委員會第二屆理事會”,當選中國音協琵琶專業委員會理事。2016年指導學生陳逸《琵琶在群眾文化活動中的普及與推廣》獲大學生創新創業訓練計畫專案國家級立項、李雅惠《琵琶教學的社會實踐研究》獲省級立項。曾先後在《樂府新聲》、《藝術教育》等專業期刊發表《琵琶教學中的美感培養》、《纖弱的美—琵琶下出輪探究》等9篇學術論文。 |

Ms. Pi Xiaocai, Visiting Artist of 2016-17 皮曉彩,星海音樂學院教授,音樂教育學院副院長,中國民族聲樂藝術研究會理事,中國音樂家協會會員、廣東中國民族歌劇協會副會長。 榮獲全國優秀教師,廣東省委宣傳部"千百十”工程培養物件; "跨世紀之星”藝術家;曾獲全國沿海五省市青年歌手比賽一等獎;全國高校民族聲樂大賽優秀指導教師;廣東省新民歌成就獎;並多次獲得廣東省文學藝術界優秀中青年會員和年廣東省優秀音樂家,優秀園丁稱號。 皮曉彩教授從事音樂教育30餘年,長期工作在教學第一線,深受同學的歡迎和愛戴。她在從事的民族聲樂藝術教學過程中,培養了一大批優秀的人才。 皮曉彩教授曾撰寫出版了與專業相關的學術專著《興國客家山歌研究》(25萬字),主持承擔了國家級子課題《嶺南民族民間傳統音樂的教學資源的開發、重構與利用》,撰寫了近12篇學術論文。 |

Mr. Zhang Peng, Visiting Artist of 2016-17 香港藝術聯會鋼琴學會會長 張氏自幼學習鋼琴,師從多位中國著名的鋼琴教育家:中央音樂學院趙屏國教授,周廣仁教授,鮑蕙蕎教授,揚鳴教授。95年以優異成績考入天津音樂學院,師從著名鋼琴教育家馮鍵教授。 張氏於大學期間在各類全國鋼琴比賽中屢獲殊榮:96年獲音苑杯青少年鋼琴比賽專業組第一名,由此同年代表天津音樂學院赴青島參加雙星杯全國青少年鋼琴比賽,獲得青年專業組第二名。獲獎後應人民音樂出版社邀請錄製了獲獎曲目之音樂錄影帶。97年在香港第一屆中國鋼琴作品比賽中獲黃河鋼琴協奏曲組第三名。 98年應香港鋼琴學會之邀赴港於香港大會堂舉辦了音樂會。,獲得了觀眾們的好評。在此次音樂會中結識了香港著名鋼琴教育家黃懿倫教授,並於次年考入香港演藝學院師從黃教授學習鋼琴演奏。自此張氏以專業人才身份留港進行演奏及教學工作,並於08年同朗朗,李雲迪,等各界演藝名人一併獲香港政府批准以優秀人才身份留港至今。 09-10年兩次應德國巴德堡市音樂學校的邀請進行了個人音樂會的演奏。 2013年九月應德國僑聯的邀請參演中秋國慶晚會 演奏了黃河鋼琴協奏曲。 同年十一月應德國斯坦威鋼琴公司邀請對其公司進行了訪問交流。 與此同時,近年致力於特殊幼兒教育的學習與輔導。今年十一月應「一笑慈善基金會」邀請為大會及慈善晚會創作主題曲 "陪伴",希望通過自己的工作為有特殊需要學習的孩子們獻出一份自己的力量。 |

Ms. Meng Xiaoxu, Visiting Artist of 2015-2016 孟曉旭,青年二胡演奏家,中央音樂學院二胡碩士研究生,星海音樂學院青年二胡講師。 盂氏自少年時代至今獲獎無數:包括2003年獲得全國首屆新人推選大賽青年二胡專業組金獎及中央音樂學院「天天杯」民族器樂觀摩賽第一名。2005年獲得首屆「中錄杯」國際二胡邀請賽青年專業組銀獎。同年成為民樂系唯一獲得中央音樂學院最高獎學金。「譚小嶶」獎的學生。受國際性音樂節邀請出訪日本、美國、台灣、義大利、荷蘭等地區,在廣州專程受邀為前國家地理朱路基,前國務院副總理李嵐清演奏二胡。 從教以來認真嚴謹教學,在教與學的過程中不斷努力與探索,所執教的學生,連續突破廣東省二胡在全國音素金鐘獎比賽和文華獎比賽中的最好成績。在今年6月,所教學生王前代表廣東省參加由教育部主辦的「全國職業院校技能大賽」榮獲二等獎,這也是星海音樂學院的中國民族器樂演奏專業近二十年在教育部,文化部主辦的國家級專業賽事中取得的最好成績,實現了新的突破。 近年來錄製了中央音樂學院《二胡系列考級示範》、《二胡高傳真》、《弦醉》、《絨花》、《弦音如敘》及《arifa》二胡專輯。孟曉旭的演奏具有獨特的魅力與吸引力,讓靈感在時空中漫舞,扣人心弦。 |

Mr. Paolo Morena, Visiting Artist of 2015-2016 Mr. Paolo Morena was born in Pescara (Italy) in 1973. He has studied violin with George Monch (assistant Henryk Szeryng) in Paris. He continued his studies with V. Liberman, Z. Giles, P. Vernikov, I. Grubert and Marco Rizzi. He has been awarded in several international violin competitions (GB Viotti, Vittorio Veneto, Postacchini) and won with the pianist Alessandro Capella the first prize in the International Competition "Citta´di Termoli” in 1999. In that same year, he received the prize "Giovani talienti” del Rotary Club Italia among the most interesting violinists of his generation. He has performed as soloist under the direction of conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Wladimyr Iurovsky, Claus Peter Flor, Yutaka Sado, Luis Bacalov, Víctor Pablo Pérez, Oleg Caetani, Jose Maria Sciutto, Christopher Hogwood, Dimitri Sitkovesky and others with a wide repertory from Bach to Schnitke. He has recorded for RAI the first Concerto Grosso A. Schnitker with W. Iurosky as conductor, the Nocturne for violin and orchestra of A. Schoenberg with R.Chailly, and the Concerto for violin and orchestra of R. Scumann with O. Caetani. The composer Giancarlo Menotti has dedicated him his concert for violin and orchestra (1954), premiering his work (in Spain), with Tenerife Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Victor Pablo Perez and the Argentine composer Luis Bacalov (Oscar winner for the soundtrack of the movie " Il Postino ") has dedicated him his Violin Concert, played in world premiering in the same year with Magna Grecia Orchestra under the direction of master Bacalov. He was elected as concertmaster in 1999 by Riccardo Chailly of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano "G. Verdi”. Since then he is guest concertmaster in orchestras such as Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, NES (New European Strings), Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Catalunya, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orchestra della Radio della Svizzera Italiana, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala. He is currently concertmaster of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife (director Jia Lu) and playing with a splendid Giovani Battista Guadagnini violin dating from 1771. |

Mr. Liao Hongbiao, Visiting Artist of 2014-2015 廣東石灣人。1993年被評為"中國工藝美術大師”。第五屆中國工藝美術大師評委。國家級非物質文化遺產項目石灣陶塑技藝代表性傳承人。 廖洪標出生於陶藝世家,1946年即從父學藝,後師從劉傳學習陶藝,1958年參加中央工藝美術學院"民間雕塑研究班”進修 。作品以人物為主,粗獷樸拙,豪放寫意,自成一格,耐人尋味。 其許多作品在國內的各種評比中曾獲國家級金獎、銀盃獎和一、二、三等獎。其中《漁翁得利》、《釋迦牟尼》、《悟法禪宗》、《藥王孫思邈》、《福音濟公》、《自在羅漢》、《張仲景》等多件作品分別被中國國家博物館(原中國歷史博物館)、中國美術館、中國工藝美術館、廣東省博物館、廣東民間工藝博物館、佛山博物館、香港藝術館、澳門博物館等收藏。 |
