Are you an Internet freak? Have you ever been amazed by the stunning Web pages when surfing on the Web? And thinking of creating one for yourself ..….

The Internet and World Wide Web have become indispensable tools for teaching, research and other academic activities. CityU academics have joined in the chorus and many are eagerly attempting or engaging in putting up their Web pages. To meet the increasing need for support of Web application development in various departments, CSC is now planning to form a Web Developer Group (WDG) and has invited students to join in as members. The objective of the group is to provide service and assistance to academic staff in the creation, development and maintenance of Web applications, such as homepage, forum and others for teaching and research purposes. As a pool of Web experts, registered members of WDG will be recommended to departments to work on projects.

The students will receive the necessary training in late June and after they become competent, they will be ready this summer for employment by departments to work on different projects. The CSC will assume the supervisory role and provide technical advice to these Web Developers when necessary.

So, do you fancy an attractive personal Web page, or anything similar? If you have any projects in mind, please let us know by sending email to ccmis@cityu.edu.hk. For enquiry, please contact us at x9834.
