This course aims to allow students the opportunity to appreciate a real (computer oriented) working environment; to relate concepts and principles of different subject areas learned to the ‘real’ environment; and to put into practice some of the methods, tools and techniques of the computer related disciplines of the programme.

Continuous Assessment: 100%

Assessment will be on a Pass or Fail basis.

Student’s performance will be assessed based on the following:

1. Student performance review (interim) conducted by company supervisor in December;

2. Student performance review (final) conducted by company supervisor in June;

3. Placement Report;

4. Student participation and attendance at Review meetings with academic supervisor.

Based on the above evidence the Placement Co-ordinator will recommend that the student be awarded either a Pass or Fail grade.
