Course Aims

Students will examine the major socio-cultural changes in Asian societies in the age of globalization. The will learn different perspectives on globalization and make in-depth analysis of various global, regional and local issues. The course will help students understand the dynamic process of globalization; how global forces affect different societies and how such forces are locally articulated. Students will have opportunities to discover new ideas, undertake applied research and make effective presentations.
