China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2025

The CICSIC 2025 competition, dedicated to fostering global exchange and collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship, stands as one of the world's largest platforms for students to showcase their innovative practices. It provided a global forum for outstanding young minds to realize their innovative dreams and collaborate towards a brighter future. Since its inception in 2017, CICSIC has attracted over 40,000 international projects and 130,000 students from more than 150 countries and regions.

The award-winning project, developed under the supervision of Assistant Professor Jian Wang, addresses a critical challenge in clean energy technology. The research focuses on designing and synthesizing advanced platinum-based alloy catalysts to enhance efficiency and reduce the cost of hydrogen fuel cells—a key technology for a sustainable, low-carbon future. Mr. Jia Lei and Mr. Chi Zhang are dedicated to the development of high-performance catalysts and the study of mechanisms, while Ms. Li Longyu, another awardee, is the enterprise partner responsible for promotion and operation. Their work exemplifies the successful translation of fundamental energy chemistry research into innovative solutions with significant application potential.
