Fire Drill at Yeung Kin Man Academic Building (YEUNG) (8 January 2026)
Please note that a fire drill will be conducted at Yeung Kin Man Academic Building (YEUNG) on 8 January 2026 (Thursday).
All fire alarms in YEUNG will be activated at around 12:00 nn and will last until the fire drill is over.
The purposes of the fire drill are to:
1. Raise occupant awareness on the emergency evacuation procedures;
2. Ensure the integrity of the fire alarm system;
3. Ensure the efficient and safe exit of facilities in the case of an emergency.
Here are the summary:
- The fire alarms will be activated at 12:00 noon until the fire drill is over. Participation is voluntary.
- There is no single assembly point, participants can return to YEUNG via the proper entrance points after the fire drill is over.
- Please bring along your CityUHK Smartcard.
- Lock up office/personal valuables before leaving the office.
- There will be a fire safety briefing at the garbage collection point near the Nam Shan Chuen Road Service Entrance at around 12:15 pm. All are welcome to join.
If you have concerns about the security of your office if left vacant during the fire drill, please contact DEPTDIST-FMO-Safety@cityu.edu.hk.
