  • Attended seminars and workshops featuring researchers from Princeton, Duke University, and the Technion, gaining exposure to diverse academic perspectives and strengthening confidence in presenting work.

  • Established ongoing collaboration on drug‑discovery science agents.

  • Worked closely with the DVP and his group members to complete a study on metal halide scintillators during the visit, which led to a publication in Advanced Functional Materials.
  • Gained exposure to world‑class inorganic chemistry research and accessing advanced functional ligands and materials.
  • Began designing and synthesizing new organic ligands for perovskite nanocrystals, which is an ongoing project that will continue under Prof. Kovalenko’s supervision.

  • Completed a comprehensive review on zoonotic leishmaniasis in China, submitted to PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
  • Prepared and submitted a conference abstract for presentation at ICOPA 2026, reporting the first detection of Leishmania infantum in dogs and insect vectors in southern China.
  • Advanced international collaboration on Leishmania surveillance in dogs and vectors, contributing to multiple ongoing and planned journal submissions.

  • Worked closely with Prof. Helen Bao at the Lab for Interdisciplinary Spatial Analysis to advance doctoral research on AI adoption and fairness perception in housing-related public services.
  • Presented research findings at PUBSIC 2026 and received constructive international feedback, while building foundations for ongoing cross-national collaboration.
  • Completed a pilot survey experiment and began drafting a high-impact journal manuscript, alongside a systematic review on AI governance and citizen behavior.

  • Participated in UoM’s Physics & Astronomy Postgraduate Research Conference, made connections with PhD students, and regularly joined weekly Journal Club discussions.
  • Learned key techniques and gained foundational skills in a new research area.
