Miss Maggie Chau

Vice-President (Administration)

Miss Maggie Chau is the Vice-President (Administration) of City University of Hong Kong. She leads the University’s administrative and operational functions and has line management responsibility for the Campus Development Office, Facilities Management Office, Computing Services Centre and Enterprise Solutions Office.

She oversees campus planning and development, capital works, facilities operations and estate management, as well as the University’s IT infrastructure, enterprise systems and cybersecurity. Through careful planning and coordination, she ensures that the University’s physical and digital environments effectively support teaching, research and student life.

Miss Chau is also responsible for institutional risk management and she works with colleagues across the University to strengthen risk awareness, enhance governance processes and ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the University’s interests.

Her portfolio includes oversight of data protection and information governance, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and the responsible handling of University data.

She oversees the Committee Against Sexual Harassment (CASH), supporting the University’s commitment to providing a respectful, safe and inclusive environment for all members of the community.

Separately, she is responsible for outside practice administration, ensuring that such engagements are managed in accordance with University policies and procedures with appropriate transparency and accountability.

Through these responsibilities, Miss Chau supports the University’s long‑term development and operational effectiveness, working closely with academic and administrative colleagues to align administrative services with institutional priorities.
