Twenty-One SEE Faculty Named Among World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025

The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) is proud to announce that 21 faculty members have been named among the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025”, a prestigious global ranking published by Stanford University on 19 September 2025. This recognition is part of a broader achievement across City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), where nearly 260 scholars were included in the list.

Compiled using key data from Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database, the ranking spans 22 academic fields and 174 sub-fields. It assesses scholars based on the number of citations of their academic publications, considering both their career-long impact and the impact of their work in a single year.

TSO, Prof. Jian WANG, Prof. Xue WANG, Prof. Zhenbin WANG, Prof. Wei WU, Prof. Wen-Xiong WANG, Prof. Charles Chunbao XU, Prof. Moriaki YASUHARA, Prof. Angus Hin-Lap YIP, Prof. Zhiguo YUAN AM and Prof. Lin ZHANG.
