On 21 March 2026, current MSc students, alumni, and faculty from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) came together at scenic Shek O for a beachside BBQ. The MSc in Energy and Environment programme has over 180 students, and the gathering offered a welcome opportunity for our community to reconnect, unwind, and strengthen ties.
Guests enjoyed a variety of food and a relaxed beach setting, making the event both enjoyable and memorable. Alumni shared updates on their professional journeys since graduation, fostering meaningful exchanges with current students. The atmosphere was further enlivened by an MSc student band, who also served as the DJ and kept the energy high throughout the evening.
At SEE, we value academic excellence alongside a supportive community spirit, one that continues well beyond graduation and is celebrated through events such as this.

The Dean attended the gathering accompanied by his dog, who was warmly welcomed by MSc students. Their enthusiastic welcome added to the convivial atmosphere of the barbecue.
