The International Veterinary Vaccinology Network hosted their Early Career Researcher event in Vienna, where fellows from the IVVN Career Development Fellowship Scheme and the Plowright One Health Mentoring Scheme, as well as Professor Dirk Pfeiffer, got together in an engaging 2-day programme.
Activities covered a variety of topics—from leadership workshops to scenario-based exercises on pandemic preparedness, and insightful talks on food systems and global health. Moreover, senior researchers reflected on collaboration and One Health and participants had open conversations about career challenges.
The highlight of the event was the way fellows connected with peers and mentors, forging professional relationships that will not only enhance their careers but also contribute to the broader One Health community.
