Dr Kwok also implemented Outcomes Based Teaching and Learning in EF 5342 Monetory and Financial SysteMs His course materials are well prepared and his knowledge in finance is demonstrably up to date. In terms of teaching strategy, Dr Kwok aspires to train students through "Learning by Seeing and Learning by Doing" --- to demonstrate to students how to critically evaluate different views, and to help students develop their analytical skills through practice. In his classes, we clearly see that he has accomplished this brilliantly. He is being given the Teaching Excellence Award for his innovative teaching and learning activities.

Prof Tit-wing LO
Department of Applied Social Studies
Motto
Prof Tit-wing Lo is a charismatic teacher who has truly put his heart in teaching. His bold initiative in conducting counseling demonstrations in class has produced a deep learning impact on his students as demonstrated by students' comments on his teaching. He has successfully adopted the Western group therapy theories in authentic situations using his own students as clients. He believes that students will learn when they are given opportunities to reflect upon their own problems and find ways to adjust themselves to tackle the problems instead of keeping problems in a "recycling bin". From numerous notes of thanks from students who have benefited from Prof Lo's counseling and teaching, we have clearly seen that Prof Lo has achieved an excellent rapport with his learning partners and successfully developed students' competence in counseling by a risky, but highly effective, experiential approach. He is being given the Teaching Excellence Award for his effective strategies in promoting deep learning.
