The hall life in hall 5 last has been precious and fruitful. As a Chinese student, I have taken part in hall activities that help promote the Chinese culture as helper or participant, such as A Taste of Chinese Painting and Welcome Chinese Festival. During the Joint-Hall festival, as the group leader of food preparation group, my group and I made spring rolls by ourselves which to our glad, received lots of accomplishment. The cooking competition is another event that I enjoyed a lot, where my teammate and I made a traditional spicy Sichuan dish and finally got a prize, introducing this delicacy from my hometown to people not only from other countries and also the local students.

It is always so joyful to communicate with people from different areas and countries, getting a glimpse at exotic culture. Fortunately, hall 5 provided us with plenty of opportunities to do so. In hall 5, I also joined hall activities held by international students like DIY Chai and Cooking Korean. During the process, I gradually getting familiar and made friends with some international students and local students, improving the cross-culture communication.

Regarding myself as warm-hearted, I also joined lots of social service like Flag Day and Cornwell School social service. Besides, as a member of CityU Choir, I joined the hall 5 Singing contest and received the 2nd-runner up for both solo singer and group singers.

It is such a honor to receive the Hall scholarship, which is a recognition for my study. After joining the scholarship team, I believe I will have more opportunities to get acquaintance with my hallmates, to contribute to our hall and to gain more experiences in organizing activities.
