I am Lam Chun Kit, Jeffrey. A year 2 student who studying in Public Policy and Politics. I am honored to receive this scholarship and I want to share what did I do last year.
In the last year, I being a President of the Resident’s Association. My duty is to organize different activities such as High Table Dinner, Poon Choi to name but a few. Although organize this kind of activities need to spend a lot of time, you can learn a lot from that. For example, you can develop your communication skills because you need to talk to different people in different languages. Also being a President of Resident’s Association, you need to reflect the opinion from resident to hall master. So it can train your listening skills to know why they have this opinion and what they want hall master do after he receives this opinion. Which is a wonderful experience of being President this year.
Living in the hall, it gives me an unbelievable experience for me. Because if you facing problem due to any reason, you can just find your friends to talk, and in the process, you can feel support from your friends also they can give you some useful advice to solve the problem. Not only about this, but also you can find friends to play some games every time. You can get relax from the high-pressure academic environment. The main difference between living in the hall and living at home is that in the hall, you can just find friends without an appointment and learn living independently.
All in all, this is my hall life last year. I was very enjoying my hall life last year because I did a lot of things that I did not try before. Lastly, I was very honored to award the hall scholarship of my hall and I will keep contributing to my hall this year.
