In past two years in Jockey Club Academy Hall, I had a fantastic time studying and living. Also, I have done my part to create a better learning and living environment in the Hall. As an academian, I considered great importance in the academic aspect. I not only kept hardworking and optimistic in my own coursework, but also shared a lot of interesting academic topics with peers in hall. I have done greatly in my professional courses by following teachers’ instructions carefully as well as combining self-learning skills. As a floor representative, I fulfilled my responsibility to create a proper environment for students in hall. I stressed the importance to follow the quite hours rule so that students have different work and rest schedule can share the harmonious environment.

One need to learn how to arrange personal life, as well as balance the academic work and the activities that enrich one’s life experience. I always join in hall activities to connecting with other residences. I have met lots of really good and interesting people in those activities, also got my eyes widen by such a multicultural and excellent community. I joined the football team and table tennis team of our hall. I met some good friends in the team and enjoyed the time playing sports with them. I feel great to have such experiences with my teammates and also feel proud with the contribution to my hall. I also have joined the hall book team and publicity team. I did some translation part for the hall book and designed a few posters for hall activities. In that process, I am glad to use my skills to do concreate works for my hall, as well as put my skills into practice.

In my opinion of the pursuit of the ABC culture, I have a possible proposal of the activities. I do think a book trade activity will benefit participants and the hall. In the book trading activity, participants can bring along the books they have finished reading to trade new books others offer. They can also trade for books in the reading corner of our hall so that participants can have the books they need, and the book corner can have new books added. This activity should be able to promote residence to access the books they want. Furthermore, we can support the learning environment of our hall.
