Ir Chris Chong, Managing Director – Corporate Development Mr Gareth Kwok, Senior Manager
Chris was appointed as Managing Director, Corporate Development in April 2026, responsible for driving mergers and acquisitions, market expansion, and new business initiatives. Chris brings over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and operations management across energy infrastructure, district cooling, data centres, and innovation and technology sectors. Prior to JEC, he held senior roles at ASTRI, Veolia, and CLP. Chris also led the startup of several key energy projects in the Greater Bay Area. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Energy Institute, and the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Chris currently serves as International Vice President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Gareth Kwok graduated from Mechanical Engineering (Building Services) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008 and joined JEC immediately as a Management Trainee. Since then, he has developed his leadership capabilities through major projects and client-facing responsibilities. He is now a Senior Manager in the Services Division, supporting one of JEC’s key customers. He has extensive experience and a strong track record across a wide range of building services, including HVAC, electrical systems, fire services, and BMS, as well as emerging areas such as zero-carbon solutions and energy saving, creating added value for clients.
