On 30 January 2019, a group of 25 undergraduates from Zhejiang University visited the School of Energy and Environment (SEE). The undergraduate students, led by Professor Yang HOU, Professor from College of Chemical and Biological Engineering of Zhenjiang University, attended two sharing sessions offered by SEE faculty members and also toured a teaching laboratory. The visit served as a platform cultivating knowledge sharing.
Dr. Vincent Cheng (Arup Fellow, Director of Building Sustainability Group, and Global Leader of Environment and Building System Skill Network, ARUP, Hong Kong), delivered a colloquium for the SEE community on 23 January 2019. Dr. Cheng focused on the invention process to inspire the students to have more brilliant ideas to contribute to the world. The worldwide visions and trends on sustainability development were also be discussed. The colloquium was very well-received.
On 22 August 2017, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) signed a new collaborative agreement with the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAP/CAS) in Chengjiang, Yunnan. The signing ceremony was attended by President Way Kuo, President of CityU, Professor Jiang Zhu, Director of IAP, Professor Chong-Yin Li, Academician, CAS, Professor Johnny Chan of CityU, and Professors Wen Chen and Zi-Niu Xiao of IAP/CAS.
Prof Irene M. C. Lo, Fellow Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, presented the advancement in designing magnetic nanoparticles for wastewater treatment at the inaugural SEE Colloquium.
