In line with the University’s direction in providing competitive postgraduate research education and the School’s mission in nurturing new generation of energy and environment related professionals, we are happy to welcome over 30 new PhD students from different countries to our SEE family in the academic year 2020/21.
With the new batch of undergraduate students joining SEE, the School is currently offering undergraduate programmes to more than 40 non-local students from diverse countries and regions.
In this summer, over 30 SEE undergraduates are offered summer internship places in energy- and environmental-engineering related fields. The tremendous support comes from our internship partners including but not limited to the ones indicated below
Environmental scientists at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) have proposed a new pathway for the formation of sulfate, providing new insights for improving haze prediction to address air pollution problems.
Miss Wylie CHUNG Wai Yi, a 2019 SEE UG Graduate, received the Best Final-Year Environmental Project Award 2019 (1st Runner-up) presented by The HKIE Environmental Division in the Annual Reception held on 8th January 2020.
Prof. Michael Leung and Dr Edwin Tso have recently been awarded in the Energy Saving Championship Scheme 2018” jointly organised by the Environment Bureau and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department.
