A recent study co-authored by Prof. Jin Shang, Associate Professor from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), and his PhD student Mr. Daisong Chen, titled “Zero- to One-Dimensional Transformation in a Highly Porous Metal–Organic Framework to Enhance Physicochemical Properties”, has been published in the prestigious Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).

The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is pleased to share that our three distinguished faculty members have successfully secured the Preparatory Grant for the Simultaneous Implementation of Large Team-Based Learning (TBL) Classes. Following the recommendation of the Evaluation Panel and approval by the Provost and Deputy President, these grants will support innovative teaching strategies aimed at enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.

A group of students from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) recently brought theory into action by conducting evidence-based research in Lai Chi Wo, a historic rural village in Hong Kong’s northeastern New Territories. As part of the SEE3001 (Energy and Environmental Policy) course, students formed five task forces to explore key sustainability challenges facing the village.

Prof. Michael Leung is newly appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Solar Compass. The journal aims to bridge the information gap in the global pursuit of net zero by facilitating the rapid deployment of solar technologies. Solar Compass focuses on technologies ready for commercialization, policy and economic advancements, manufacturing scale-ups, and replicable case studies. The journal will serve as a vital resource for stakeholders and the general public, supporting global energy access and sustainability goals.

As part of the SEE Colloquium Series for Semester B, 2024/25, the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) hosted an enlightening talk titled "Rethinking Fashion Decarbonization: From Accusations to Collaboration” on 11 Apr 2025.
