On 18 March, 2025, Prof. Jung-Eun Chu, Assistant Professor of The School of Energy and Environment (SEE), invited Mr. Jasper Hilkhuijsen, East Asia Senior Innovation and Sustainable Development Manager at Arup, a globally renowned company with a collective of designers, engineers, and sustainability consultants dedicated to shaping a better world, to deliver an inspiring talk titled “Driving Sustainability in the Built Environment”.
The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) hosted the “SEE Dialogue with Professionals” seminar series in Semester B 2024/25, offering students valuable opportunities to engage with industry leaders and explore career paths in energy, environment, and sustainability.
On 15 March 2025, more than 40 members of the SEE community—including faculty members, staff, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate students—led by our Dean, Prof. Kenneth Leung, embarked on an enriching visit to City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) and the Ancient Nanshe Village. The trip provided valuable insights into CityUHK (Dongguan)’s dynamic learning environment and state-of-the-art research facilities, which foster innovation and collaboration.

On 24 February 2025, the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) hosted an enlightening seminar, titled "Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality 2.0", as part of the SEE Colloquium series. Prof. Edwin Tso Chi-Yan from SEE invited the distinguished guest speaker Ir Prof. Steve S F Wong, Chairman of the Environment & Sustainability Committee at Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) and Chairman of BillionGroup Technologies Limited, who warmly welcomed attendees and set the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.
Our Dean, Professor Kenneth Leung, JP, along with Professor Fatwa Abdi, Professor Theodora Nah, and Professor Edwin Tso, visited three top universities in Indonesia from 18 to 22 February 2025.
