Prof. Alicia AN (PI), along with Prof. Edwin TSO (Co-I) and Dr. Muhammad Usman FARID (Co-I), has been granted a Green Tech Fund by the Environment and Ecology Bureau, HKSAR Government. Their project, titled “Thermally-integrated water desalination — electrolysis system for clean hydrogen generation”, has received funding of HK$4.14 million for a duration of two years. Their project aims to develop a highly efficient, thermally integrated membrane distillation (MD) — anion exchange electrolysis (AEMEL) system.

The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) is pleased to announce that Crystal Climate Charity Foundation has made a generous donation for establishing the “Crystal Climate Charity Foundation Scholarships” (晶苑氣候慈善基金獎學金) to recognize academically outstanding undergraduate students majoring in Energy Science and Engineering or Environmental Science and Engineering of the School from the 2023/24 academic year.

Prof. Wei Wu, Associate Professor of the School of Energy and Environment, is recently elected as the 3rd Round HVAC Outstanding Young Scholar in 2023 by HVAC Journal Publisher. It is a National Award for outstanding young scholar in HVAC field once every three years. This is the first time it given to a scholar in Hong Kong.
