Prof. Fatwa F. Abdi’s groundbreaking research paper titled “Assessing elevated pressure impact on photoelectrochemical water splitting via multiphysics modeling” has been published in Nature Communications. The study explores the impact of elevated pressure on the efficiency of photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting, offering new insights for sustainable energy production.
The Hong Kong government is actively promoting the construction of waste-to-energy facilities to address the issue of landfill overcrowding. One such facility is I·PARK1, which is currently being built and will be able to process 3,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day. Another facility, I·PARK2, is also under development and is expected to handle approximately 6,000 tons of waste daily. Prof.
