Following his highly valued contribution as a member of the Programme Committee for the 2024 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition, held in Toronto, Canada, Prof. Zhiguo Yuan AM, Chair Professor at the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), has now taken up the role of Co-Chair of the Programme Committee for the upcoming Congress in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, scheduled for late 2026.

The China Data Center Cooling Summit Forum was successfully held in Shanghai from 1 to 3 April, 2025. Prof. Wu Wei of the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) contributed significantly to this important event, which was hosted by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, Huawei Digital Energy Technology, and Tencent Cloud. The forum brought together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss advancements in data center cooling technologies.

Six SEE faculty members secured an impressive total of seven awards, highlighting their innovative contributions to sustainability and technological advancement.

The inaugural CRF kick-off meeting, chaired by Principal Coordinator (PC) Professor Charles Chunbao Xu, took place on the afternoon of April 16, 2025, at the Interdisciplinary Multi-function Room (G7603). The meeting was attended by all Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs), their research team members, collaborators from the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, and industry partners, including Plant Plant Holding Company Limited.

This award celebrates the student whose video earned the highest number of votes during the competition.
