SEE PhD Student Miss Yabi Huang Selected for CAST Youth Science and Technology Talent Development Program

The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is pleased to announce that Miss Yabi Huang, a first‑year PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Xuneng Tong, Assistant Professor of SEE, has been selected for the 2025 Youth Science and Technology Talent Development Program, organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).
Launched for the first time in Hong Kong, this prestigious program aims to nurture outstanding young scientific talents and foster international academic exchange. Miss Huang was among fewer than 50 PhD students across the region to receive this honour. Her research focuses on Environmental Fate Simulation, with a project entitled: “Quantifying Human and Veterinary Contributions to Riverine Antibiotic Pollution”.
Through the program, Miss Huang will receive a conference grant of RMB 40,000 to support her participation in international academic conferences and further enhance her research development.
